NRAS Radio 4 Charity Appeal
Tune in this Sunday, 17th January, to hear the Radio 4 Charity Appeal on behalf of NRAS. Juliette Kaplan, the actress who plays Pearl in Last of the Summer Wine, has recorded the appeal for us. Juliette has rheumatoid arthritis. The broadcast is going out at 7.55am, but the good news is, if you are not an early riser, that it will be repeated at 21.26 on Sunday and again at 15.27 on Thursday next week. Radio 4 is on FM 92.4-94.6 or if you miss it you will be able to listen at www.bbc.co.uk/radio4/appeal.

I thought this might be of interest!

Thanks, Doreen - I`ll listen to later broadcast, rather than the early one!

Hi Doreen,

We are always switched on to radio 4 and have been listening to the appeals. I love lying in bed listening to the radio. I think its great that Radio 4 give a slot to chariities. I will definitely be listening in on sunday. Also I noticed it was advertised on NRAS home page too but clicked on it thinking it would open up a link for details and there wasnt any...

Interesting that this is coming up when we have a thread going about raising the awareness of RA. BigGrin I just had a thought that it would be nice if we had a thread that we posted what was going on with rasiing awareness of RA. It could be like posting radio links, anything relating to RA in the media.....

Hi Mari,
That's what I thought.....here we are just discussing raising the profile of RA and NRAS are already working on it.
I must admit I don't look on the home page often enough, I just click through to the forum!
I will try to listen to this on Sunday

Thanks for that, Helly, I'd been meaning to listen to it earlier. Let's hope it brings in some extra money and also raises awareness of RA.
